  • For those who don't have laptops, please attend and you can "look over the shoulders" of those with laptops.  I will bring my laptop for someone to use, and we may be able to find some additional laptops.

  • This workshop is an Introduction to the Mac. Which means that we start at the beginning and go from there as far as we get in the two classes. We are going to talk about the interface and basic navigation skills, what is in the apple menu and how to arrange the dock, screensaver, and wallpaper choices, etc.
  • Depending on how advanced the students are, we may go on into a discussion of Mail/Address Book, or off in some other direction. It depends on what kind of feedback we get at the end of class #1 and where the students wish to go.

Support-The-Mac Comments:  Please attend this workshop if you have any interest in bringing Mac instruction to this center.  A few SeniorNet centers use Macs, so they can run BOTH Windows & Mac operating systems on the same computer.  Our computers are due for replacement, so we conceivably could get Macs for our center.  But if you Mac users don't support the Mac effort, this has no chance.  Then it will be "Another Four More Years Of Windows!!"  (Ugh).
